Why on earth are we honoring a racist traitor? Trump restores Confederate statues


Look, I can’t believe I’m wasting my breath here—but President Trump just ordered that the statue of Albert Pike, a racist Confederate general, be put right back up in D.C. I mean, what? This is not about heritage—it’s about celebrating bigotry.

Pike wasn’t just a soldier—he was a full-on white supremacist, a defiant traitor, who fought for slavery and hated Black Americans. And Trump is telling us now that this man deserves a statue in the capital? Really?

They’re not stopping there. There’s also a Confederate “Reconciliation” plaque going back up at Arlington National Cemetery in 2027—funded by the government. And it’s all part of Trump’s little executive order, “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History.” Yeah, right. It’s a facade. “Truth,” in this case, means white supremacy.

Listen, I don’t care about historical revisionism. This isn’t us “correcting” anything. This is honoring racism and treason. These symbols don’t belong in public spaces—they belong in a dusty museum corner if they must exist at all. We’re not living in the 1800s. We have the right to choose what and who we elevate.

Why should anyone be forced to venerate someone like Pike? There’s no good reason. If this is how Trump defines “heritage,” I want nothing to do with it. Enough already.
